During my Freshman year at Lewis and Clark College, I did
a project in the Introductory Environmental Science course
that served as a "synthesis" project for the course. The project
focused on wetland degradation, comparing management of wetlands
in the United States and Scotland. thr project included both an
"E-Portfolio," as well as a Synthesis Paper.
This was my first project published online as a Google Document,
beginning my experience of using the internet as a way to publicly
distribute and make available my work.
This is a portfolio describing my experience in Colorado College's Environmental Science major. It includes courses I have taken, projects I have completed,

A New Medium for Reflecting on Environmental Science
I have realized that blogging is a powerful tool not just for me to show others
the work that I have done, but also to sift through my own experiences and
to connect those experiences with larger themes in Environmental Science.
In a way, I see this as a way to synthesize class discussions, projects, and
research that I am interested in such that I can organize my own thoughts
and form my own opinions on environmental issues.
I hope that this blog provides readers with a bit of an idea of what I
have learned in the Colorado College Environmental Science program.
I hope you enjoy it!!
